Here's the story. The paint job was created by Webslinger, after much research on his part. When he asked for ideas for a theme, I told him I liked old MG cars, and WWII airplanes, especially Corsairs and the Black Sheep Squadron. Web said he'd always wanted to put some 'nose art' on a bike, so the decision was made.

I wanted to use the Harley flush mounted gas cap for the aircraft look, so he told me what needed to be done - pound down the lip of the fill opening, then backfill the tank to the proper contour. There's a picture of that process attached. All the rest of the work was done by Webslinger, and as is his method, I was kept mostly in the dark as to the final product until I went down to put the tins on the bike.

The bike started out as a 2005 Silverado. Mods include a 3 inch J-slam, Roadhouse 65 Special pipes with staggered slashcut tips, Hypercharger with 127.5 jets, 3 1/2 turns on the PMS, two washers on the stock needles and carb vent taped to the gas line facing forward. Ziv's control extensions. Small Yammi engine guards, Yammi windshield lowers (now painted) and Kury Isogrips, stainless control cables, Baron tach, and Phatriser I risers. The bags are Tsukayu hard bags, with Web's custom paint. Since the original paint job, Web also painted the speedo housing the same color as the tank.
